Join the Columbia Democrats on Thursday, October 18 at 8 PM in 310 Fayerweather to hear Katrina vanden Heuvel, Editor and Publisher of The Nation magazine, give a talk titled “Election 2012: What’s at Stake.” Ms. Heuvel will discuss critical factors influencing the outcome of the 2012 election, including the Citizens United decision and SuperPAC money, voter suppression through restrictive voter ID laws, the legislative assault on women’s rights, and the role of the media. She will be speaking for 20-30 minutes and then have a Q&A to take audience questions for the remaining time.
